Do you have a favorite cookie recipe? I realised a few months back that I certainly didn’t! One day I was talking to my best friend and told her that my Chocolate Banana Cupcake recipe is going to be ‘my’ recipe for the rest of life. Those cupcakes would be referred to as ‘Grandma’s cupcakes’ (Grandma being ‘future’ me!) and would be made every time they would come over for holidays!
That was a pretty amazing feeling! That’s how much I love those cupcakes. In that moment, I realised that I although I love cooking, I don’t have any other recipe that would become an ‘inheritance’ for my future generations! And I decided to add more on the list.
Then, fate struck and I started my keto journey. And there was a temporary shortage of new recipes, especially any desserts.
Fortunately, I got better adjusted to this lifestyle and have been trying out newer and more interesting recipes. One such recipe really struck a chord with me and my husband.
The keto friendly Chocolate Chip Cookie! When my husband took his first bite, he asked me ‘Is it cheat day today?’
And I told him, ‘NO!’. he couldn’t believe it.
These cookies are so delicious. And were able to fight my cravings too! I’ll be honest though. They don’t taste like the usual chocolate chip cookies in texture. These are more on the softer side. But when it comes to taste, these are no less!!
I have made them thrice already! These are really light and crispy on the edges and soft in the middle.
KETO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES – LOW CARB AND SUGAR FREE!
I used unsweetened chocolate chunks and chopped them smaller with a knife. You definitely don’t want to use sweetened chocolate chips if you want to make these keto suitable. These cookies are perfect for dunking in your almond milk or coffee, if you’d like!

UPDATE (12 February 2018): After having some comments about the dough being too crumbly, I decided to go ahead and make this again specifically to check whether that is a possibility! And I am happy to state that they came out beautifully just like all the other times I made them. Not crumbly! You have to keep in account that the ‘dough’ will not resemble a normal cookie dough. But I had no problem whatsoever in shaping them into balls. I am attaching a photo here of my latest batch for everyone’s reference.
