Hello everyone! I am back today with another very quick recipe just perfect for your Rakshabandhan menu. This is the recipe for a drink and is perfect for this hot weather. It is called Frosted Lemonade. If you’ve been to the States, that name should ring a bell. This recipe is basically my attempt to recreate a drink that you get in a restaurant here called ‘Chick-fil-A’.
To be honest, I am not really a big fan of sour things. So quite obviously, lemons and limes are not really my best friends. They are usually on my ‘tread-cautiously’ radar. When I tried this drink for the first time in that restaurant, I was actually quite surprised and so was Nishant, my husband, whom I am going to address as N for further reference. It was delicious and unbelievably refreshing! So I decided to it at home. And after getting everyone’s approval at home, I finally decided to share the recipe with you. After all, what better timing than Rakhi!? This can be a perfect addition to your Rakhi menu.
As the name suggests, a major ingredient in this drink is ice and lemons. Con you think of a better, more refreshing combination to beat the heat? What makes it even better is that it looks so glamorous but is so simple and easy to make. You can easily trick your guests to think that it took a lot of time and effort to make this!
You can serve this along with those Baked kachoris, the recipe of which I shared in my previous post. Kids, adults, everyone in your family will love this. That’s my guarantee! Oh, and did I mention that it has ice cream in it as well?! Like, how can you ever go wrong with ice cream?! It is a sure shot crowd pleaser!
In the photographs, I have used limes instead of lemons That turned out equally amazing. This was just a little more tart than if I use lemons. So use whatever is available at hand!
So without wasting any more time, let’s get started with this simple recipe for this refreshing and delicious drink!
I hope you enjoyed the recipe. It is a quickie and can be served not only on special occasions but also any day that you choose.
Do try this. And let me know how it turns out!
Till next time…
