Hello everyone! Which is the most dreamy and creamy frosting of them all? What goes perfectly with a moist delicious vanilla cupcake like the one I shared yesterday? A Buttercream frosting! Heck, it goes equally good with a chocolate cupcake or for that matter any other flavor! I am presenting to you my favorite and fool proof recipe for Buttercream frosting.
Buttercream practically is the oldest known type of frosting ever known to mankind. It needs really no introduction. It is so versatile and so delicious, that you would want to use it for every flavor of cupcake or cake you make. You can mix and match various flavorings to attain the desired effect or even use the plain old unbeatable vanilla extract. My mouth is watering just by talking about it!
What’s more is that it uses only 2 ingredients and a third one only in minute quantity. Well, if you are a regular on my blog, this would not come as a surprise to you. I am the biggest fan of easy recipes that are simple to make and involve ingredients that are readily and always available in my kitchen. So, look no further and do give this recipe a try! You will become a fan too.
This recipe is what I have reached to after trying out and miserably failing at various recipes. I have tried a number of permutations and combinations of ingredients which, it is safe to say, did not work out for me at all. The recipe that I am sharing with you today is just the perfect recipe. You cannot go wrong with it. Well, it’s actually kind of hard to mess up something that uses such few ingredients. Just try to follow the procedure as I mention here and you will be just fine!
Before I move on to the recipe, let me also mention here that I shared my recipe for the perfect Vanilla Cupcakes yesterday here. This frosting is what I used to frost those cupcakes. Look how creamy and light and stable that is! So, without any further ado, let’s get right into it!

Voila! That’s how simple it was! What’s better is that this frosting can be stored in the refrigerator for a few weeks or the freezer for about 3 months. Just let it get back to room temperature, whip it up again and it would be ready to frost again!
So, I hope you enjoyed this recipe. Do try it. I hope yours turn out just as good as mine!
If you do try, do share your experiences with you.
Till next time..
