Hello everyone! Yesterday was Karvachauth. If you are from India, you would probably know about Karvachauth. On this day, married women observe a no water- no food fast for the day and open the fast only after seeing the moon through a mesh in the light of a diya! Ok! So that was probably the most lame explanation/ description of what karvachauth is. But I guess that’s the best I can do. Basically it was my second time keeping the fast. I am away from home and a total newbie when it comes to all this ‘married women’ stuff! So I make the best of what I have in terms of knowledge and skill. All in all, it was a pretty satisfying and eventful day. I woke up at 4 AM and had my food, which is called ‘sargi’. Then the day went by while I was applying mehndi, talking to my family back in India, getting ready for pooja and then finally seeing the moon and opening the fast! I would call it a success. Between all that, I just could not make out time for Day 4 of my Project 365. Also, by the end of the day, there was hardly any courage left in me to scratch my mind and write a post.
So here it is!
What I tried to capture in this photograph, are the last few days of green that we will see on the trees. Fall has begun and trees have very quickly started to change colors. This is amongst the last few days of color. Pretty self explanatory. I love how the red of the fruit stand against the green background.
