Hello everyone! I have lived more than 25 years of my life in New Delhi. New Delhi is/ was famous for chilly winters and an equally horrifying summers. The summers are indeed horrible in Delhi but the ‘chilly winters’ part, well that is a thing of the past! There is hardly any winters in Delhi anymore. But when it used to be cold a few years back, it used to be very cold. But it just never snowed there. That was a geographical thing. So, in 25 or so years of my life, I had never seen snowfall. I had seen snow when we visited Manali (a hill station) on vacations, but never actual falling snow.

So when I moved to the States, imagine my joy when I was told that it snows here like crazy! That was a lot of anticipation. But when I saw falling snow for the first time, I knew it was my favorite thing in the world. I remember it as clearly as I remember the moment my toes touched the ocean water for the first time. Snow is always going to be my ‘special place’. My ‘happy place’.

Here are a few photographs I clicked yesterday from my balcony.

What do you love more? The ocean or the snow? Or is there some other ‘happy place’ for you?

Till next time..

XO, Sakshi!
